Responsibilities
- Develop, test, maintain, enhance, and support enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices.
- Build, deploy, monitor, and support cloud-based applications and services on AWS.
- Develop integrations using REST APIs, web services, XML, JSON, XSL/XSLT, FreeMarker templates, and messaging technologies.
- Write and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures and support database performance tuning.
- Create and maintain unit and integration tests using JUnit and Mockito.
- Support CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments, release activities, and application configuration across environments.
- Monitor applications, troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement fixes.
- Collaborate with product owners, QA engineers, DevOps teams, architects, and business stakeholders in an Agile environment.
- Maintain technical documentation and contribute to knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
- Use AI-assisted engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, Claude, and Gemini Code Assist.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in Java application development.
- Practical and hands-on experience developing, deploying, monitoring, and supporting applications on AWS.
- Experience with AWS services including EC2, ECS, Lambda, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, IAM, CloudWatch, AWS Glue jobs, Step Functions, SQS, SNS, Kinesis Data Streams, and Kinesis Data Firehose.
- Experience supporting cloud-native, serverless, event-driven, and data-processing workloads on AWS.
- Experience supporting enterprise applications across development, testing, and production environments.
- Experience with Jenkins or Harness CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with application deployment, logging, monitoring, troubleshooting, and production support in AWS environments.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment.
