Responsibilities
- Turn AI proofs of concept, agents, and platform capabilities into production-ready software.
- Build and support AI Gateway services, MCP integrations, agent frameworks, self-hosted inference, and AI-powered applications.
- Develop testing, evaluation, monitoring, logging, and observability practices for dependable, scalable, and auditable AI systems.
- Lead unit tests, integration tests, and evaluations, and troubleshoot AI-specific failure modes such as quality drift, prompt regressions, provider outages, and cost spikes.
- Provide technical and engineering support throughout the application lifecycle, from code delivery through retirement.
- Review code, mentor less experienced engineers, create technical documentation, and define standards for production-ready AI systems.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, architecture, quality, AI governance, and business teams.
- Lead critical tasks and deliverables, contribute to product architecture, and help establish expectations for scope and timelines.
- Stay current with emerging AI technologies and recommend improvements to software development processes.
- Travel up to 10% for internal meetings, training, and professional conferences.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of technical experience in software development.
- Production ownership of AI systems such as AI agents, AI product features, or MCP servers.
- Experience with a major cloud environment: GCP, AWS, or Azure.
- Experience with unit testing and end-to-end automated testing.
- Experience with Kubernetes.
- Experience with large language models or vector databases.
- Ability to work independently through ambiguity and shifting priorities.
- Preferred: bachelor's degree, fintech experience, GCP and Terraform experience, cloud security and DevOps experience, model fine-tuning and evaluation experience, and AI observability, evaluation, and model monitoring experience.
