Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain functionality for the UKI Edition of the Core Product.
  • Develop integrations, reports, data migration utilities, JavaScript enhancements, and other product features.
  • Analyse enhancement requests, defects, and implementation feedback and produce scalable technical solutions.
  • Create technical specifications and documentation aligned with product architecture and coding standards.
  • Participate in Scrum ceremonies, backlog refinement, estimation, Sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Investigate, diagnose, and resolve software defects and complex third-line issues.
  • Undertake unit testing and support integration, regression, and user acceptance testing.
  • Validate developments for release and support post-release issue resolution.
  • Assess compatibility between UKI Edition functionality and Core Product releases.
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Application Specialists, Support, Implementation, and Core Product teams.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement in development practices, tooling, automation, and quality processes.
  • Provide technical input, guidance, and knowledge sharing to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience in software development, technical configuration, or application development.
  • Experience developing with web technologies, including HTML, JavaScript, and related frameworks.
  • Experience with SQL, database design principles, data analysis, and data migration techniques.
  • Ability to interpret business and functional requirements and translate them into technical designs and deliverable solutions.
  • Understanding of web technologies, Internet/Intranet architecture, and system integration concepts.
  • Experience working in an Agile Scrum environment, including backlog refinement, Sprint planning, estimation, and iterative delivery.
  • Ability to investigate complex technical issues, estimate technical effort, and manage competing Sprint priorities.
  • Ability to produce clear technical documentation and specifications.
  • Commitment to software quality through testing, peer review, and continuous improvement.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, prioritization, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience with InterSystems technologies, including TrakCare or HealthShare, is desirable.
  • Healthcare or Electronic Health Record experience is desirable.
  • Knowledge of HL7, FHIR, and Health Information Exchange principles is desirable.
  • Experience with REST APIs, web services, systems integration, source control, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines is desirable.
  • Familiarity with Generative AI, Large Language Models, AI-powered services, AI governance, security, privacy, and responsible AI use is desirable.
  • A university degree or equivalent work experience is desirable.
  • Proficiency in English and one other language is desirable.
