Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable Python Flask API applications or similar applications for low-latency responses.
- Develop batch and streaming data ingestion solutions using SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Implement REST API endpoints on Kubernetes using Kong and deploy applications with Argo CD.
- Write clean, efficient, documented code and test cases using Python, SQL, and optionally PySpark.
- Collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional partners on requirements, design, planning, code reviews, and technical delivery.
- Monitor applications, troubleshoot issues, implement data quality checks, and contribute to observability and testing practices.
- Document data sources, transformations, and architecture decisions.
Requirements
- Technical software engineering experience with an interest in data applications and building software at scale.
- Experience developing Python Flask APIs or similar applications.
- Understanding or experience with batch and streaming data ingestion.
- Experience working with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL and NoSQL databases such as Redis.
- Experience implementing REST APIs on Kubernetes and using API gateways such as Kong.
- Understanding of containerization and Kubernetes deployment using Argo CD.
- Experience with Python and SQL; PySpark is optional.
- Ability to collaborate with engineers, data analysts, data scientists, and product managers to deliver data solutions.
