Responsibilities
- Develop resilient backend services and distributed APIs for streaming video and real-time sensor data.
- Integrate AI analytics pipelines into cloud services and maintain scalable database architectures and event-driven data pipelines.
- Optimize system performance, throughput, and availability across multi-region cloud deployments.
- Use deployment tooling and continuous delivery workflows to support reliable software releases.
- Participate in technical design discussions, peer code reviews, and automated testing.
- Collaborate with AI analytics, frontend, SRE, security, and reliability engineering teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Some experience building and maintaining backend cloud services.
- Experience or ability to use Golang, Python, C, C++, Rust, or Java for backend services.
- Knowledge of cloud architecture, with GCP preferred, and scalable backend microservices.
- Experience with relational or NoSQL database systems and RESTful APIs, WebSockets, or gRPC.
- Legal authorization to work in the UK and proficiency in English.
- Preferred qualifications include exposure to Machine Learning, Computer Vision, or AI concepts; familiarity with AI-assisted development tools; and understanding of service-oriented architecture and cloud-native products.
