Responsibilities
- Build responsive, high-performance web applications using modern TypeScript frameworks for real-time video and analytics use cases.
- Collaborate with product designers and engineering leads to translate security workflows into intuitive user interfaces.
- Optimize frontend reliability, state management, and web performance across distributed client environments.
- Design, implement, and maintain resilient APIs and backend microservices.
- Contribute to scalable cloud architecture and take ownership of software components.
- Support other teams using the team’s services.
- Invest in software development lifecycle automation and participate in technical design discussions, peer reviews, and CI/CD pipeline improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a technical field.
- Solid experience developing software across web applications and backend services.
- Legal authorization to work in the UK.
- Strong foundational skills in at least one general-purpose language such as Golang, Python, C, C++, Rust, or Java.
- Experience developing web applications with a JavaScript or TypeScript framework such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
- Industry experience as a software engineer, whether full stack or otherwise.
- Experience with cloud environments and infrastructure as code.
- Familiarity with or interest in AI-assisted tools in a modern development workflow.
- A product mindset and interest in building reliable software experiences for end users.
- Ability to work in person at the Edinburgh office two days per week.
