Responsibilities
- Develop software maintenance and upgrade solutions for tactical systems.
- Participate in all activities associated with the software development lifecycle.
- Support required software processes, reviews, system integration, and sustainment activities.
- Work collaboratively on an agile software development team supporting the Aegis Weapons System.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or a related field, or equivalent related work experience.
- 2–4 years of experience in software development, maintenance, or support in relevant open/layered architecture, operating environment, modeling, information assurance, tools development, safety analysis, real-time data analysis, problem analysis, or system integration work.
- Experience developing software with Java, C++, or Python.
- Experience with scaled agile software development principles.
- Experience with object-oriented design and development, design patterns, software insulation techniques, and plugins.
- Experience working with Linux and UNIX environments.
- Strong skills with integrated development environments such as Eclipse.
- Familiarity with UML syntax and use.
- Familiarity with driver-based and automated test environments.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government secret clearance and other required authorizations.
- Preferred experience includes ClearCase, JIRA, xUnit Framework, JUnit, CPPUnitLite, CMMI Level 5 lifecycle processes and procedures, and assemblers.
