Algorithm Application Scientist - Large Model Applications - Global Frontier Tech Recruitment Program - 2027 Start (PHD)
ByteDanceResponsibilities
- Design technical solutions, select and fine-tune large models, implement RAG systems, and deploy large-model applications.
- Research global large-model technologies including GPT, Gemini, and LLaMA and apply them to project work.
- Translate industry and business requirements into technical solutions in collaboration with algorithm, product, and business teams.
- Design and optimize large-model workflows using agent and tool calling technologies for vertical-sector applications.
- Document technical work, summarize projects, and contribute to the team’s technical knowledge system.
Requirements
- Completing or recently completed a PhD in software development, computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Strong understanding of large-model and deep-learning principles, familiarity with TensorFlow or PyTorch, and proficiency in at least one programming language, preferably Python.
- Strong self-learning ability, adaptability, logical thinking, and ability to solve complex technical problems independently.
- Strong English and Mandarin communication skills for collaboration with teams and stakeholders based in China.
- Preferred qualifications include large-model fine-tuning, prompt engineering, RAG system development, agent application development, academic papers, patents, technical competition awards, LangChain or LlamaIndex familiarity, Elasticsearch integration and optimization, and XR application experience.
