Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor Java developers, conduct code reviews, and foster a collaborative learning culture.
- Design and build cloud-native microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and REST APIs.
- Own requirements, design, implementation, testing, release, coding standards, and overall solution quality.
- Improve system performance, security, reliability, scalability, observability, and resilience.
- Partner with product teams to shape scope, manage timelines, identify risks, and deliver iteratively.
- Enable CI/CD and modern DevOps practices for safe, repeatable releases.
Requirements
- Require 6+ years of Java development experience, including 2+ years leading or coaching engineers.
- Require strong Java and object-oriented programming skills with deep Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and RESTful services experience.
- Require hands-on experience with cloud-native architecture, Docker containers, and Kubernetes orchestration.
- Require experience with API design and integration, secure coding, and performance tuning.
- Prefer experience with Azure or another major cloud provider.
- Prefer exposure to Jenkins, Git, and DevOps tooling, plus knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases.
- Require clear communication, problem-solving ability, and a passion for mentoring.
