Base Salary

$159k - $295k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership, mentorship, strategic direction, and engineering standards across multiple projects or domains.
  • Identify opportunities for AI-powered product features, enhancements, and product expansions, and assess emerging technologies.
  • Establish technical governance covering coding standards, design patterns, development methodologies, quality, scalability, and consistency.
  • Develop the technical roadmap for the product line’s technology stack, infrastructure, and development processes.
  • Evaluate technology risks and trade-offs, communicate technical decisions, and lead design reviews for scalable, performant, and maintainable solutions.
  • Lead troubleshooting and resolution of complex technical issues and document solutions clearly.
  • Represent the company as a technical expert in industry forums, conferences, and events.
  • Modernize complex legacy web applications into cloud-native solutions while supporting the transition to next-generation systems.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of hands-on software engineering experience developing scalable and resilient web-based products and solutions.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Strong computer science fundamentals in data structures and algorithm design, strong .NET programming experience, object-oriented design, SOLID, DRY, DDD, and database design principles.
  • Experience applying architecture and design patterns to complex business problems.
  • Experience designing and developing customer-facing, high-traffic REST APIs using ASP.NET or similar frameworks; API gateway experience is a plus.
  • Expertise with modern UI frameworks such as React or Angular, TypeScript, Node.js, and Python.
  • Experience with AI technologies including prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation, and fine-tuning.
  • Experience with public cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS and services including EC2, S3, ALB, Auto Scaling, RDS, Lambda, SQS, and containers.
  • Ability to mentor others and promote DevOps practices, AI developer tools, and test-driven development.
  • Preferred experience building or integrating production AI/ML, Generative AI, LLM, RAG, or intelligent automation capabilities into customer-facing products.
  • Preferred experience with regulated, high-availability, business-critical, reliable, performant, secure, compliant systems with SLA requirements.
  • Preferred experience providing technical leadership across multiple engineering teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to influence across organizational boundaries, navigate ambiguity, make data-driven decisions, and deliver results.
