Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership for the reliability, availability, and operational support of mission-critical applications and platforms.
- Lead major incident, problem, change, and production support processes, including rapid resolution and long-term remediation.
- Improve platform resiliency, observability, scalability, performance, automation, self-healing capabilities, alerting, and reduction of operational toil.
- Establish and monitor service reliability objectives, operational KPIs, and platform health metrics.
- Lead production readiness reviews, release management, disaster recovery testing, and business continuity planning.
- Strengthen operational risk management, regulatory compliance, audit readiness, and control effectiveness.
- Mentor engineers and serve as a technical advisor during critical production events and strategic operational initiatives.
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience in Application Support, Production Support, Site Reliability Engineering, or Technology Operations.
- 3+ years of experience leading technical teams or large-scale operational initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
- Experience supporting highly available, business-critical applications in Financial Services or Capital Markets environments; Capital Markets or Financial Services experience is required.
- Expertise in Application Support Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, and enterprise production operations.
- Experience with major incident management, root cause analysis, executive-level communications, Linux, Windows, AWS, OpenShift/Kubernetes, IBM MQ, distributed application architectures, Splunk, Grafana, SQL/PLSQL, query optimization, middleware, networking, Autosys, ServiceNow, automation, AI-enabled operational tooling, workflow orchestration, mainframe-integrated environments, batch processing, and enterprise workflows.
- Familiarity with ITIL-based Incident, Problem, and Change Management practices and strong communication, stakeholder management, and technical leadership skills.
