Base Salary
$197k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Partner with software engineers, designers, and product managers to deliver high-performing mobile features for more than 100 million customers.
- Provide technical leadership for mobile architecture and design patterns and make hands-on technical contributions.
- Mentor engineers through feedback, code reviews, platform-specific best practices, and technical obstacle removal.
- Develop expertise in mobile performance, accessibility, architecture, and other key platform areas.
- Contribute to mobile architecture decisions, API design reviews, and reusable component development.
- Lead the design and development of client Backend-for-Frontends and Server-Driven UI architectures.
- Define engineering practices for feature flags and staged rollouts to improve delivery and quality.
- Champion agentic AI tools and AI-native development practices.
- Establish high standards for coding, testing, performance, accessibility, and user experience.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field such as Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, or Engineering.
- At least 4 years of professional software engineering experience; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 3 years of experience building native Android applications with Kotlin or native iOS applications with Swift.
- Preferred: 4+ years building native mobile applications for Android or iOS.
- Preferred: experience with SwiftUI, Jetpack Compose, Swift Testing, XCUI, JUnit, Espresso, performance optimization, scalable mobile architectures, reusable component libraries, modular architecture, and modern state management.
- Preferred: experience designing client Backend-for-Frontends using GraphQL and networking technologies such as gRPC/Protobuf.
- Preferred: experience with Server-Driven UI, metrics-driven staged rollouts, feature flag strategies, agentic AI coding tools, AI-assisted workflows, CoreML, or TensorFlow Lite.
