Base Salary
$197k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Partner with software engineers, designers, and product managers to deliver high-performing mobile features for more than 100 million customers.
- Provide technical leadership for mobile architecture, design patterns, API reviews, performance, accessibility, and reusable components.
- Mentor engineers through feedback, code reviews, platform best practices, and removal of technical obstacles.
- Lead the design and development of Backend-for-Frontends and Server-Driven UI architectures for mobile clients.
- Define engineering practices for feature flags, staged rollouts, quality, testing, and product delivery.
- Champion agentic AI tools and AI-native development practices while making hands-on technical contributions across the mobile ecosystem.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
- At least 4 years of professional software engineering experience; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 3 years of experience building native mobile applications for Android with Kotlin or iOS with Swift.
- Preferred: 4+ years building native mobile applications and experience with SwiftUI or Jetpack Compose.
- Preferred: experience designing automated mobile testing suites using tools such as Swift Testing, XCUI, JUnit, or Espresso.
- Preferred: experience with performance optimization, scalable mobile architectures, reusable component libraries, modular architecture, and modern state management.
- Preferred: experience building mobile Backend-for-Frontends using GraphQL and gRPC/Protobuf, Server-Driven UI, metrics-driven staged rollouts, feature flags, and agentic AI coding tools.
- Preferred: familiarity with on-device ML frameworks such as CoreML or TensorFlow Lite.
