Responsibilities
- Build software to automate manual operational work and provide operational support for covered products.
- Balance feature development speed and reliability through service-level objectives.
- Respond to incidents, diagnose outages and alerts, and assist with root-cause analysis and blameless post-mortems.
- Propose improvements to infrastructure and products and improve software reliability, quality, and time to market.
- Provide out-of-hours support through an on-call rotation.
- Design, build, and scale global product platforms and support application releases.
Requirements
- Experience or background in Site Reliability Engineering, development, DevOps, or a similar field.
- Knowledge of Azure and Kubernetes.
- Programming experience with Python or Go.
- Experience with unit tests, integration tests, static analysis, and resilience tests.
- Familiarity with database technologies such as MySQL.
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform.
- Ability to engineer solutions using best practices, learn new skills, and solve complex polymorphic problems.
- A security-first design philosophy.
