$232k - $258k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the architectural evolution of compute and networking stacks and deliver initiatives from ideation through global execution.
- Design and implement solutions to improve fleet-wide CPU utilization and accelerate ARM adoption for cost efficiency.
- Direct technical strategy for hybrid- and multi-cloud foundations, active-active resiliency, and regional failover.
- Drive development of automated infrastructure and AIOps tools for alert triage and incident response.
- Embed service-to-service authorization and zero-trust networking into container and networking platforms.
- Collaborate with Storage, Data, and Product teams to support larger ranking models and autonomous vehicle data ingestion.
- Mentor 5A and mid-level engineers and promote operational excellence.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8+ years of full-time software engineering experience, inclusive of PhD research or equivalent specialized education.
- Deep hands-on proficiency in Go, Java, or C++.
- Demonstrated experience designing, building, and productionizing large-scale, highly available infrastructure services.
- Track record of leading complex, multi-quarter technical initiatives from initial design through fleet-wide rollout.
- Deep knowledge of Kubernetes internals, container runtimes such as CRI, and modern networking including CNI and Envoy.
- Experience with hybrid-cloud or multi-cloud migrations and large-scale cost optimization.
- Strong understanding of operating systems, Linux kernel performance tuning, and/or eBPF.
- Experience building or managing GPU scheduling and large-scale model-training infrastructure.
- Active contributions to open-source infrastructure projects or experience presenting at major technical conferences.
Benefits
- Base salary for eligible US locations is USD $232,000-$258,000 per year.
