Responsibilities
- Drive QA strategy for Mirantis Secure Registry, Kubernetes, and cloud-native environments.
- Lead risk analysis, test planning, and release-readiness efforts for multi-cloud registry, infrastructure, and container orchestration systems.
- Architect test frameworks and infrastructure for microservices, infrastructure components, multi-cluster environments, and hybrid clouds.
- Design production-like test scenarios covering scaling, failure injection, recovery, system health, failover, and network resilience.
- Develop scalable test automation integrated with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Kubernetes APIs, Helm, and service mesh tools.
- Advance repeatable and reliable infrastructure-as-code for test infrastructure.
- Mentor QA engineers and developers in risk-based, chaos, performance, and load testing.
- Establish quality gates, release metrics, and feedback loops while integrating performance, security, and chaos testing into development.
- Collaborate with DevOps engineers on monitoring, alerting, debugging, design reviews, production readiness, and incident retrospectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in software testing or quality engineering, including 4+ years focused on Kubernetes, cloud-native applications, and distributed systems.
- Demonstrated leadership in building and scaling enterprise test strategies.
- Deep knowledge of Kubernetes internals, cluster lifecycle management, Helm, service meshes such as Istio or Linkerd, and network policies.
- Strong scripting and automation skills with Python, Pytest, and Bash.
- Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, Jaeger, Kubernetes security including RBAC and secrets management, and performance benchmarking tools such as K6.
- Experience with cloud architecture, infrastructure provisioning, containerized CI/CD, Linux administration, networking, firewalling, routing, certificate and PKI management, containers, and multi-cluster troubleshooting.
- Experience with Docker or containerd, kubectl, Helm with OCI registries, GitOps, and Flux.
- Experience influencing cross-functional teams and senior leadership, plus mentoring at least one junior team member.
- Preferred qualifications include open-source Kubernetes or QA tooling contributions, Kubernetes chaos engineering experience, and CKA, CKAD, or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer certification.
