Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain performance assessment solutions for evaluating responsiveness across Windows devices.
- Analyze system, storage, memory, I/O, application, and platform performance to identify optimization opportunities.
- Define and maintain performance metrics, measurement methodologies, and reporting standards for validation environments.
- Drive adoption of AI-powered solutions to scale and accelerate performance root-cause analysis.
- Lead technical design discussions and architecture reviews.
- Contribute to technical excellence through documentation, code reviews, mentoring, and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field and 4+ years of technical engineering experience with coding, or equivalent experience.
- Coding experience in one or more of C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Strong troubleshooting skills, particularly with Windows debugging and performance analysis.
- Understanding of performance management, measurement, boot and startup flow, scheduling, and memory/storage/I/O latency analysis.
- Ability to work independently and diagnose non-deterministic or flaky measurement results.
- Hands-on experience with WPR/WPA, Xperf, and ETW trace capture and analysis is preferred.
- Familiarity with ADK/WAT assessments and the Performance Toolkit SDK/WPA plugin model is preferred.
- Understanding of Windows kernel, memory and I/O management, scheduling, and boot flow is preferred.
- Strong Mandarin and English communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
- Prior collaboration with OEM or IHV partners is preferred.
