Responsibilities
- Plan, scope, and build consistent customer-focused experiences across Wise’s native applications and web.
- Collaborate with product, design, UI, analytics, Android, and other engineering teams to deliver impactful user experiences.
- Take responsibility for the overall health and quality of the iOS project.
- Keep the iOS project current by adopting new technologies, best practices, and cross-platform consistency.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code that supports application performance, responsiveness, load times, and stability.
Requirements
- Proven experience building and deploying a customer-facing app.
- Proficiency in Swift.
- Familiarity with software architecture patterns such as MVC, MVVM, or VIPER.
- Desire to write testable code and understanding of REST API design.
- Strong product mindset, passion for user experience, and ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to collaborate effectively while solving problems independently and proactively.
- Experience with SwiftUI, Structured Concurrency, or CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions is preferred.
- Familiarity with internationalization patterns for applications serving multiple markets is preferred.
- Fintech experience is preferred but not required.
