Base Salary
$380k - $610k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect, strengthen, and expand core data products supporting Netflix’s Ads business.
- Own critical portions of advertising data products and model tables using data warehouse and software engineering best practices.
- Develop large-scale batch and streaming data processing solutions and optimize existing workflows.
- Partner with stakeholders, analytics engineers, data scientists, machine learning practitioners, and software engineers to support analysis, ML, and reporting.
- Establish data governance practices for datasets containing sensitive information.
- Deliver timely, high-quality data and build scalable data architecture across multiple systems.
Requirements
- Extensive experience and strong technical expertise working with data at scale.
- Hands-on experience building production batch or streaming data pipelines using distributed processing frameworks such as Spark, Flink, or Hive/Hadoop.
- Knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing, data transformation, and data architecture across multiple systems.
- Command of Python, Scala, or Java and experience exploring data with SQL.
- Expertise building performant data pipelines and optimizing workflows for new features.
- Knowledge of Big Data and stream-processing technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Flink, Hive, and Presto.
- Experience sourcing and modeling data from application APIs.
- Understanding of advertising data, data privacy, and GDPR is preferred.
- Ability to communicate complex data problems clearly and work independently in a fast-changing environment.
