Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain infrastructure automation solutions using Python, Bash, infrastructure-as-code, and configuration management tools.
- Deploy and operate automation frameworks including Ansible, Puppet, Terraform, GitLab, Vault, and Foreman across hybrid infrastructure and compute clusters.
- Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines and improve deployment, configuration, system management, and lifecycle processes.
- Investigate infrastructure issues, identify root causes, and implement automated fixes to improve reliability and stability.
- Create documentation for tools, processes, and operating procedures.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to maintain availability and restore services during incidents.
- Evaluate new tools and technologies and recommend ways to make automation services more reliable, secure, and easier to operate.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Hands-on experience using infrastructure automation and configuration management tools in production environments.
- Experience using Terraform.
- Experience with large-scale Linux environments and resolving system issues.
- Experience building or supporting CI/CD pipelines, using version control, and applying DevOps practices in production.
- Proficiency in Python, Bash, or a similar scripting language, with experience automating operational tasks.
- Experience working across hybrid on-premises and cloud environments, including AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Preferred: experience with large-scale or multi-cluster environments, Ansible, Codex or other AI-enabled development tools, relevant technical certifications, or Agile/Scrum teams.
