Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Developers, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure they are testable.
- Develop comprehensive test strategies, detailed test plans, functional and integration test cases, and test automation approaches.
- Execute tests, publish test reports, communicate results, and track quality metrics including defect density, test coverage, and open defects.
- Own test script development, configuration management, and the creation of mocks and stubs for component and integration testing.
- Perform testing across APIs, microservices, mobile native applications, and web applications, including non-functional testing.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related engineering discipline.
- At least 7 years of Quality Engineering experience.
- Strong programming skills in Java, TypeScript, or JavaScript focused on test automation.
- Experience testing APIs, microservices, mobile native applications, and web applications.
- Knowledge of SQL, NoSQL databases, and pub-sub technologies.
- Proficiency with Linux/Unix environments and cloud infrastructure, including GCP and Docker.
- Experience with non-functional testing such as performance, security, and monitoring/alerting.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools including Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Harness.
- Familiarity with Jira, test case management, Postman, Playwright, Selenium, and RestAssured.
- Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, debugging, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
