Responsibilities
- Design and execute software test plans, protocols, cases, and corresponding automated tests across digital applications, application platforms, and data platforms.
- Develop and maintain UI, API, and data-pipeline automated tests and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, verification, and validation testing, including EMR/EHR and connected-device integrations.
- Maintain requirements-to-defect traceability and produce test documentation meeting FDA, IEC 62304, and ISO 13485 expectations.
- Manage defects and test artifacts in Azure DevOps, collaborating with developers to reproduce issues, identify root causes, and verify fixes.
- Validate Bluetooth/BLE communication between medical peripherals or IoT devices and Android/iOS devices.
- Test interactions among embedded firmware, sensors, readers, communication interfaces, medical peripherals, hardware, applications, APIs, and cloud microservices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, biomedical engineering, or a related scientific or technical field plus 2+ years of relevant industry experience, or a master’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
- Experience with software testing or test automation, including independently writing test cases, automated tests, and test documentation.
- Working knowledge of the software development lifecycle, structured testing methodologies, and software risk management.
- Proficiency with at least one automation framework and language, such as Selenium, Appium, or Python, and experience integrating tests into CI/CD.
- Preferred experience testing web, mobile, API, cloud, data-pipeline, or connected-device software.
- Preferred experience with Azure DevOps, Jira, Jama, Codebeamer, Helix ALM, or TestRail.
- Preferred experience in regulated medical-device or SaMD environments and familiarity with FDA quality-system requirements, IEC 62304, ISO 13485, or ISO 14971.
- Preferred experience with Bluetooth/BLE devices, embedded firmware, medical peripherals, hardware/software integration, EMR/EHR, HL7, FHIR, mobile automation, or API automation.
- Familiarity with .NET, Java, Python, GoLang, Rust, Scala, or Databricks is preferred; ISTQB, CSTE, or similar certification is also preferred.
