Base Salary
$243k - $500k/yr
Responsibilities
- Set the technical vision and roadmap for Pinterest’s AI Platform.
- Lead strategic initiatives spanning generative AI infrastructure, recommender systems, and AI-powered productivity tools.
- Architect infrastructure for multimodal data management, post-training, evaluation, feature stores, model training, and batch and online inference.
- Design, build, and operate highly available production systems at large scale.
- Lead cross-organizational initiatives, influence architecture decisions, and align executives and cross-functional partners.
- Promote engineering quality, accountability, collaboration, inclusion, and team growth.
Requirements
- Deep expertise in AI/ML infrastructure and distributed systems, including hands-on experience designing, building, and operating highly available production-grade systems at large scale.
- Proficiency in at least one of C++, Java, or Rust.
- Proven experience leading cross-organizational initiatives, defining technical strategy, navigating ambiguity, and influencing architecture decisions.
- Strong technical judgment, ownership, and commitment to high engineering standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
