Responsibilities
- Own the technical evolution and long-term architecture of Growth Monetization services, customer experiences, and experimentation platforms.
- Collaborate across product teams to define forward roadmaps for multiple teams and drive customer success.
- Maintain operational excellence across performance, reliability, observability, data safety, and security.
- Provide hands-on technical leadership in reviews, investigations, incidents, and critical product problem solving.
- Mentor Principal and Senior Engineers and improve engineering quality and productivity.
- Lead technical experimentation strategies across multiple teams and guide product and engineering approaches.
- Shape technical direction across teams and lead major architectural initiatives from strategy through incremental delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 12+ years of experience developing large-scale distributed systems.
- 4+ years of experience providing architectural oversight and technical leadership.
- Experience shaping technical direction across teams and influencing architecture and product strategy beyond a single service.
- Experience leading major architectural initiatives and translating multi-year strategy into measurable outcomes.
- Extensive experience designing and building large-scale distributed systems, data streaming platforms, and event-driven architecture.
- Broad knowledge of SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS, with hands-on experience using public clouds, ideally AWS and/or GCP.
- Fluency in a modern object-oriented programming language such as Java, Golang, Python, or JavaScript.
- Experience mentoring senior engineers, leading technical reviews, and improving engineering quality and productivity.
- Ability to learn quickly and work effectively in ambiguous environments.
