Responsibilities
- Design and deliver end-to-end authentication solutions spanning React/Next.js applications and Node.js BFF services.
- Shape scalable BFF and API architecture using REST and GraphQL.
- Translate high-level requirements into system designs and production-ready solutions.
- Design secure token management, sessions, authentication state, and identity-platform integrations.
- Build resilient cloud-native services and champion clean code, automated testing, observability, CI/CD, and production reliability.
- Collaborate across engineering teams to create reusable integration patterns and consistent customer experiences.
- Mentor engineers and influence technical decisions while remaining hands-on.
Requirements
- Strong full-stack engineering capability with demonstrated end-to-end technical ownership.
- Deep experience with Node.js and JavaScript/TypeScript, including backend or BFF service development.
- Strong React experience and familiarity or hands-on experience with Next.js.
- Demonstrated system-design capability and ability to develop scalable end-to-end solutions from broad requirements.
- Experience designing REST APIs; GraphQL and Apollo experience is highly regarded.
- Understanding of cloud-native and distributed architectures, application security, authentication or identity patterns, and secure session or token handling.
- Strong engineering fundamentals in automated testing, CI/CD, observability, reliability, and maintainable code.
- Curiosity about AI-assisted engineering and modern tools that improve engineering quality and delivery.
