Base Salary
$165k - $190k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement self-service developer platforms for infrastructure provisioning, application deployment, environment management, and platform-service access.
- Build and optimize CI/CD platforms, deployment automation, release orchestration, environment management, and rollback capabilities.
- Develop reusable cloud infrastructure and platform services using Azure, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Infrastructure as Code practices.
- Improve developer onboarding, development environments, documentation, templates, automation, and engineering productivity.
- Establish engineering effectiveness metrics and programs using DORA, SPACE, and similar measurements.
- Lead cross-team technical initiatives, influence platform strategy, mentor engineers, and promote automation and engineering excellence.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5–8 years of experience in software engineering, platform engineering, developer experience, site reliability engineering, or related roles.
- Demonstrated experience building and operating CI/CD platforms at scale and implementing continuous integration and continuous deployment in production.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, Infrastructure as Code, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or comparable technologies.
- Experience building internal tooling, developer platforms, or engineering productivity solutions.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with Backstage or similar developer portals, GitOps and ArgoCD, progressive delivery, feature flagging, canary or blue-green deployments, DORA or SPACE programs, OpenTelemetry, distributed tracing, observability platforms, and relevant Azure, Kubernetes, Cloud, or DevOps certifications.
- Experience in highly regulated environments, particularly financial services or fintech, is preferred.
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
