Responsibilities
- Analyze complex datasets and develop predictive and statistical models for supply-chain decision-making.
- Translate ambiguous business and stakeholder questions into structured analyses and practical data-driven solutions.
- Build and deploy production machine learning systems, scalable model inference services, APIs, and ML pipelines.
- Apply machine learning to forecasting, optimization, experimentation, and operational decision-making problems.
- Develop and operate large-scale ML systems, including model deployment, monitoring, evaluation, and performance optimization.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, product teams, and data engineers to influence strategy and product direction.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- At least four years of industry experience in machine learning engineering, software engineering, or applied machine learning.
- Strong software engineering skills building and deploying production systems.
- Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms from implementation and production perspectives.
- Strong Python skills; Java or C++ experience is a plus.
- Experience with SQL, large-scale data processing, modern ML frameworks, distributed computing, and scalable ML systems.
- Experience building and deploying transformer-based models and large language models.
- Experience with LLM or GenAI applications such as agents, structured reasoning, RAG, or Text-to-SQL.
- Experience designing and operating model inference services and APIs, and with MLOps practices including deployment, monitoring, evaluation, and production pipelines.
- Experience optimizing ML models and systems for performance, latency, scalability, and efficiency.
- Strong system design skills and ability to work across ML, software, and data engineering.
- Ability to work independently and influence cross-functional stakeholders.
- A master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related technical field is preferred.
- Experience applying ML to forecasting, optimization, or operational decision-making and experience in supply chain or operations are preferred.
