Responsibilities
- Define, design, develop, and implement custom software and AI solutions using the Appian platform
- Work across the full project life cycle with commercial clients in post-sales engagements
- Understand customer business processes and technical needs, launch relational data models in production, and develop integrations with multiple systems
- Brainstorm AI use cases and implement RAG, agentic workflows, prompt engineering, and generative models
- Collaborate with customer technical teams and business users throughout the software development life cycle
- Drive adoption by helping clients become self-sufficient in building process applications
- Mentor and develop others and lead small teams through software implementation projects
Requirements
- At least 3 years of hands-on software development or technical consulting experience
- B.S. or B.A. in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related field
- Experience mentoring or developing others and leading small teams through post-sale software implementations
- Ability to define business processes and gather functional and technical system requirements with clients
- Basic object-oriented programming knowledge, relational database and database design or data modeling experience, and SQL skills
- Knowledge of software testing practices, automated test suites, continuous integration, APIs, REST, SOAP, JDBC connections, and web services
- Familiarity with AWS, artificial intelligence, analytics, machine learning, Google Cloud, application integration, databases, developer tools, management and governance, and elastic containers is preferred
- Strong communication, continuous learning, cross-functional collaboration, and problem-solving abilities
- Willingness to travel approximately 20% to support customer engagements
