Base Salary
$158k - $257k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain scalable backend services, distributed systems, APIs, and full-stack features for AgentControl.
- Develop primarily with Go, Python, and TypeScript using technologies including AWS, CockroachDB, Datadog, DeepEval, and FastAPI.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineering teams to improve GenAI workflows and define product requirements.
- Optimize system performance, reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
- Drive architecture and design discussions and evaluate technical trade-offs.
- Own production code, participate in on-call rotations, and improve operational reliability.
- Support teammates through design reviews, knowledge sharing, and informal mentorship.
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with a track record of shipping production-quality full-stack features.
- Understanding of prompt engineering, model fine-tuning, or deploying AI services in production.
- Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining RESTful APIs.
- Experience writing production-ready, high-quality, maintainable code.
- Experience with distributed systems or data ingestion.
- Strong computer science fundamentals.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with product and design teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong ownership, accountability, communication, and comfort navigating ambiguity.
- Preferred: hands-on experience building GenAI features or agents, or working with large language models through direct integration or AI APIs such as OpenAI, Google Cloud AI, or AWS Bedrock.
