Responsibilities
- Develop, optimize, and maintain Android and Linux kernel-mode graphics drivers for advanced GPU architectures.
- Collaborate with user-space driver teams, platform integrators, silicon partners, and internal architects to enable GPUs across Linux, Android, and embedded systems.
- Work with leading consumer electronics companies on current device platforms.
- Integrate Arm software into flagship devices to showcase Mali GPU capabilities.
- Work directly with customers and adapt to occasional travel.
Requirements
- Proficiency in the Linux kernel and experience developing device drivers.
- Hands-on experience with DRM, KMS, GEM, IOMMU, DMA, power, and other Linux kernel subsystems.
- Proficiency in C, GDB, perf, ftrace, and kernel tracing.
- Familiarity with Android graphics, especially SurfaceFlinger and HWC.
- Experience tuning and optimizing memory- and power-constrained embedded software.
- Familiarity with embedded systems, SoC bring-up, or performance tuning.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, communication, teamwork, and customer-facing skills.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Knowledge of Vulkan, OpenGL ES, and EGL Khronos APIs is preferred.
- Understanding of mobile GPU hardware pipelines and experience with consumer electronics devices is preferred.
- Experience with large, multi-site software development projects and the full software lifecycle, including specification, testing, and documentation, is preferred.
