Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and reusable test frameworks using Playwright.
- Create and execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end test scenarios for web applications and APIs.
- Perform API testing, validating requests, responses, status codes, headers, authentication, and business logic.
- Test React-based applications across browsers and environments, including cloud-based AWS deployments.
- Analyze automation failures, troubleshoot root causes, and collaborate with developers to reproduce and resolve defects.
- Execute regression testing for new features, enhancements, and production releases.
- Create and maintain test cases, test data, scenarios, automation documentation, and defect records.
- Participate in requirements analysis, quality-risk identification, sprint planning, estimation, retrospectives, and other Agile/Scrum ceremonies.
- Translate complex HR workflows, business rules, approvals, and role-based access scenarios into effective test cases and automation.
Requirements
- 3–6 years of experience in software testing, QA automation, or SDET roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with Playwright and web test automation.
- Experience with API testing using Postman, REST Assured, or equivalent tools.
- Understanding of functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Experience testing React-based web applications.
- Knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript for test automation.
- Working knowledge of AWS and cloud-based application environments.
- Experience with Git and version control systems.
- Understanding of SDLC, STLC, defect management, and Agile methodologies.
- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience testing HR, HRMS, HCM, payroll, recruitment, employee-management, or related HR applications is highly preferred.
- Preferred additional experience includes TypeScript-based Playwright frameworks, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, SQL or database testing, Docker, microservices, REST architectures, performance testing, security testing, and product-based or SaaS environments.
