Base Salary
$200k - $275k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own internal backend systems end to end, from ambiguous operational problems through production deployment.
- Build a reliable internal data layer by integrating heterogeneous systems of record and third-party data sources.
- Develop unattended AI agent workflows with evaluations, guardrails, monitoring, and production reliability controls.
- Automate customer provisioning, onboarding, account setup, and other lifecycle workflows.
- Build secure, compliant integrations that protect internal and enterprise customer data.
- Instrument systems and measure impact through hours saved, error rates, cycle time, and other operational metrics.
- Collaborate directly with non-technical stakeholders to translate workflows into production software.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- At least 2 years of professional software engineering experience shipping and operating production backend systems end to end.
- Strong TypeScript skills for backend services and APIs.
- Working proficiency in Java, Python, or another second programming language is preferred.
- Hands-on experience deploying and running production services on GCP or an equivalent cloud stack.
- Strong command of relational databases and SQL, including schema design, query optimization, and data modeling.
- Production experience building on LLMs, including prompting, tool and function calling, retrieval, agent workflows, evaluations, and guardrails.
- Experience integrating third-party APIs, including REST, webhooks, authentication, rate limits, pagination, and cross-system data reconciliation.
- Working knowledge of queues, background jobs, scheduling, retries, idempotency, logging, metrics, and tracing.
- Strong communication, autonomy, ownership, and ability to operate effectively in an unstructured, fast-moving environment.
- Demonstrated passion for AI agents and automation through systems built in practice.
- Interest in corporate finance and capital markets is a strong plus.
