Responsibilities
- Own and drive technical architecture for complex initiatives across web applications, backend services, integration pipelines, and data platforms.
- Design and build reusable data architectures, APIs, data contracts, transformations, and integrations across internal and external systems.
- Develop and maintain scalable, high-performance web applications and distributed cloud-native services.
- Architect and integrate agentic AI workflows, autonomous agents, LLM-driven automation, and AI copilots into engineering and product systems.
- Set organization-wide engineering standards for code quality, system design, testing, deployment, and responsible AI-assisted development.
- Lead technical design reviews, provide architectural guidance, and influence technical direction across multiple engineering teams.
- Translate business strategy and client needs into scalable technical roadmaps, solution options, trade-offs, and delivery approaches.
- Identify and resolve systemic performance, reliability, and scalability issues across the technology stack.
- Mentor and coach senior and mid-level engineers across full-stack and AI engineering practices.
- Evaluate emerging technologies, particularly agentic AI and automation, for business applicability.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, or a related field is preferred.
- 12+ years of software engineering experience, including architecting full-stack web applications at scale.
- Experience with data modeling, ETL/ELT pipelines, event-driven architectures, and API-based integrations across internal and third-party systems.
- Strong database design experience with relational SQL and NoSQL data stores.
- Strong experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP and cloud-native architecture patterns.
- Deep understanding of distributed systems, microservices architecture, and API design using REST or GraphQL.
- Hands-on experience with modern JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks such as React and Next.js and backend languages such as C#, Node.js, or Java.
- Hands-on experience building or integrating agentic AI systems, LLM-powered applications, or AI agent orchestration frameworks such as LangChain, AutoGen, Semantic Kernel, or MCP.
- Track record leading large-scale technical initiatives across multiple teams and mentoring engineers without direct reporting authority.
- Preferred experience includes LLM-powered applications, AI agent orchestration, tool-calling architectures, retrieval-augmented generation pipelines, event-driven real-time processing, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, Docker, Kubernetes, and relevant commercial real estate, fintech, or operations systems experience.
- Preferred technical thought leadership through speaking, writing, or open-source contributions, especially in applied AI.
