Base Salary
$122k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and code product features end-to-end.
- Work on Ashby’s most challenging design problems and iterate based on user feedback and business needs.
- Expand and enhance the in-house design system.
- Build flexible, composable components for consistent product experiences.
- Redesign product experiences by conducting customer conversations, wireframing flows, implementing the design system, and shipping the result.
- Consult with Product Engineers on bespoke design work and improve information hierarchy and scannability.
- Research problems, write product specifications, build wireframes, and implement solutions.
- Own project decisions and communicate progress while collaborating with Product Managers, Designers, and Infrastructure teams.
- Participate in customer issue investigations and technical or design interviews during the hiring process.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of continuous experience as an engineer or designer; internships do not count.
- Good proficiency in both design and engineering, with exceptional proficiency in the discipline practiced full-time.
- Experience designing products and shipping code to hundreds of users, including through side projects.
- Excellent visual design taste and execution, with strong UI/UX ability.
- At minimum, good proficiency with TypeScript, React, and CSS.
- Backend technology proficiency is a plus.
- Applicants should be able to work with significant ownership, ship iteratively, and handle customer issues and investigations.
- The role is intended for candidates whose experience aligns with the mid or senior level.
