Responsibilities
- Provide technical guidance and direction to business and technical teams, contractors, and vendors.
- Develop, review, debug, and maintain secure, high-quality production code.
- Lead adoption, governance, validation, and reuse of approved AI-assisted engineering practices and automation.
- Apply software development lifecycle tooling and automation capabilities to improve engineering outcomes at scale.
- Drive decisions affecting product design, application functionality, technical operations, and engineering processes.
- Serve as a function-wide subject matter expert and contribute to the engineering community.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages.
- Experience leading enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development practices and validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Strong understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input/output handling, resiliency, and security controls.
- Experience coaching senior engineers or leads on compliant AI usage patterns.
- Ability to solve design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight.
- Practical cloud-native experience.
