Responsibilities
- Design, size, scale, tune, monitor, upgrade, back up, and provide disaster recovery for Elasticsearch clusters.
- Manage Elastic Stack logging, search, analytics, and security pipelines using Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana.
- Build Kibana dashboards, saved searches, and alert rules for operations and security teams.
- Build and maintain Logstash, Beats, and Elastic Agent pipelines, including parsing, enrichment, and ECS normalization.
- Implement RBAC, TLS, audit logging, and multi-tenant data separation.
- Develop and maintain Python Flask backend services integrated with PostgreSQL.
- Collaborate on scalable, maintainable solutions and follow code quality, testing, and documentation practices.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of software development experience.
- Strong Python programming experience.
- Hands-on experience with Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana.
- Strong knowledge of index design, mappings, ILM, query DSL, and Grok, Ruby, and Dissect parsing.
- Understanding of REST APIs, databases, and asynchronous processing.
- Hands-on experience with Elastic Security and Elastic SIEM.
- Experience troubleshooting degraded Elasticsearch clusters, including unassigned shards, heap pressure, and ingest backlog.
- Proficiency with Docker, GitLab CI/CD pipelines, and Ansible automation.
- Knowledge of software design principles, object-oriented programming, and SOLID principles.
- Strong problem-solving, collaboration, adaptability, and willingness to expand technical skills.
