Responsibilities
- Lead large-scale technical initiatives across multiple teams and engineering disciplines.
- Shape technical strategy and alignment across teams and platforms.
- Design scalable, long-term architecture for organizational goals.
- Influence technical decisions at engineering and leadership levels.
- Set standards for quality, resilience, and security across systems.
- Mentor engineers across levels and disciplines.
- Partner with engineering and product leadership on technical direction.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science preferred.
- 9+ years of related work experience required.
- Previous Staff Engineer or equivalent-level experience required.
- Deep expertise in at least one area such as backend systems, mobile platforms, or web platforms.
- Track record of leading large, cross-team technical initiatives and influencing technical direction beyond a single team or domain.
- Strong system-design, scalability, strategic-thinking, communication, and cross-team influence skills.
- Alignment with Life.Church’s mission and ability to represent its beliefs.
