Responsibilities
- Create test cases from product specifications and execute test plans and test cases.
- Design, develop, automate, and maintain test scripts and provide testing estimates for enhancements.
- Perform manual UI testing and test commercial software applications, documenting expected versus actual results.
- Track defects from detection through resolution and collaborate with developers to reproduce and fix issues.
- Set up and maintain personal and team testing environments, including release deployments on Windows-based environments.
- Support PAS responsibilities through direct customer interaction, issue communication, and collaboration with Customer Support teams.
- Communicate product issues to stakeholders and provide support before general availability releases.
- Review software development processes and product documentation to improve quality and ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Create documentation and knowledge-base content for future use.
- Maintain knowledge of existing products, operations, and systems.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in software testing or a related field.
- Required knowledge of manual UI testing, software quality assurance methods, software development lifecycles, and Agile software development methodology.
- Required experience in the payments domain, including Payments, SWIFT, Fed, MT, MX, ACH messages, ISO payment messages, payment lifecycle stages, compliance, FX payments, and remote accounting.
- Ability to execute test plans and scripts, document results, record defects, and design and develop automated testing programs.
- Knowledge of Windows operating systems and components, INI and CFG configuration files, database scripts, and SQL queries.
- Preferred knowledge of C++, DLLs, web services, REST, SOAP, Selenium, Postman, SOAP UI, microservices, and REST APIs.
- Experience with US payments products is highly desirable; performance testing knowledge and related tools is beneficial.
- Strong verbal and written communication, analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to work independently or in a team, and ability to manage multiple tasks.
