Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end quality engineering function with an emphasis on test automation.
- Develop, script, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Playwright and WebdriverIO.
- Design and execute performance, load, stress, and endurance tests.
- Lead testing process improvements and promote quality throughout the SDLC.
- Collaborate with multiple teams, coordinate testing strategies, and contribute to key decisions.
- Mentor junior team members and provide solutions across immediate and partner teams.
- Use CI tooling, BDD frameworks, and issue-management systems to support testing delivery.
- Report on testing progress and strategy, providing insights for management decisions.
- Evaluate designs, approaches, and tooling while managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
Requirements
- At least 7.5 years of professional experience is required; the posting additionally specifies a minimum of 8 years of Playwright experience with TypeScript and JavaScript.
- Proficiency in Playwright, TypeScript, and JavaScript is required.
- Experience with WebdriverIO, performance testing tools such as k6, CI tools including GitLab, TeamCity, and Jenkins, and BDD tools such as Cucumber is required or preferred.
- Experience with JMeter or similar performance/NFR testing tools is preferred.
- Experience with Investment Banking, FIX Protocol, VeriFix, financial or trading platforms, broker/trader platforms, and financial markets is preferred.
- Experience using KIRO, Amazon Q, Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or equivalent AI tools to design, generate, and optimize automation scripts is preferred.
- Knowledge of AWS services, serverless architecture, microservices, trade lifecycle, and equity products is preferred.
- Knowledge of Jira, TDD/BDD approaches, and the full SDLC is preferred.
- Relevant testing qualifications such as ISTQB or Agile Software Testing courses are desirable.
- Strong collaboration, communication, initiative, delivery focus, and ability to manage multiple deadlines are required.
- A minimum of 15 years of full-time education is required.
