Responsibilities
- Shape the technical direction of HubSpot’s build, test, and deployment systems.
- Drive architectural decisions across pipeline design, test infrastructure, deployment orchestration, and developer ergonomics.
- Write production code and lead complex initiatives from idea through rollout.
- Design and implement AI-powered QA agents that run on every deploy.
- Identify and eliminate delivery-pipeline bottlenecks while advancing the roadmap toward 500+ deploys per minute.
- Influence cross-team technical tradeoffs, configuration and change management, and platform architecture.
- Provide technical mentoring, participate in design reviews, and guide decisions on critical systems.
Requirements
- Deep experience building and evolving large-scale distributed systems, especially in CI/CD, build infrastructure, release engineering, or foundational backend platforms.
- Strong architectural judgment focused on simplicity, clarity, and long-term platform leverage.
- Experience operating at hyperscaler or platform-provider scale.
- Demonstrated ownership and delivery of complex, cross-team technical initiatives with organization-wide or company-wide impact.
- Hands-on experience building, debugging, reviewing, and shipping production systems.
- Ability to rapidly understand unfamiliar technical areas and make decisions grounded in first principles.

- Annual cash compensation range of $266,200–$425,900 USD, including applicable base salary, commission, and bonus components.
