Base Salary
$180k - $240k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build maintainable, scalable, reliable, reusable marketplace services and workflow primitives using fine-grained microservices and asynchronous workflow orchestration.
- Partner with customers to scope problems, launch new marketplace products or features within approximately 30 days, and iterate using direct feedback.
- Improve quality, workflows, click paths, adoption, and usage for launched products.
- Build and refine AI agent harnesses, layered prompting systems, document-extraction workflows, RAG pipelines, and evaluation tooling.
- Collaborate with product, design, sales, and the General Manager on customer problems, pricing, go-to-market, and scale, pivot, or kill decisions.
- Mentor engineers through code review and pairing, contribute to architecture decisions, and maintain service and product-API boundaries.
Requirements
- 7+ years of software engineering experience with strong backend and distributed-systems fundamentals.
- Hands-on experience building and shipping 0-to-1 products or features in fast-iteration environments with real customers.
- Experience integrating multiple LLM providers and document-extraction tools, including selecting between structured extraction and LLM approaches.
- Experience building agent harnesses, RAG pipelines, or other AI/LLM-integrated workflows and the evaluation practices needed to improve them.
- Full-stack capability and willingness to work closely with product and customer problems rather than in a handoff model.
- Data engineering, ML, or heavy document-processing experience is preferred.
- Experience in financial services, construction, real estate, payments, lending, insurance, or complex B2B environments is preferred.
