Base Salary

$82k - $172k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable software solutions for advanced agentic AI capabilities.
  • Architect and implement autonomous agent systems using agentic workflows, reasoning engines, and multi-agent collaboration.
  • Integrate AI agents with enterprise applications and distributed systems.
  • Manage the software development lifecycle from concept and design through deployment and sustainment.
  • Build maintainable, testable, and efficient software, including microservices and RESTful APIs.
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, product managers, and mission stakeholders to deliver new capabilities.
  • Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, technical reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Develop and execute unit, integration, and system tests.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize performance across cloud and on-premise environments.
  • Evaluate emerging AI frameworks, tools, and engineering approaches.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience using object-oriented programming languages, with significant Python experience.
  • Understanding of the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Proficiency with Git and experience with a modern source control platform such as GitLab, GitHub, or Bitbucket, including branching, code review, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with Jira and Confluence or equivalent issue-tracking and documentation tools.
  • Experience developing microservices and RESTful APIs.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Hands-on experience building with LLMs or agents in production systems, prototypes, or substantial personal projects.
  • Hands-on experience with an agent framework such as Microsoft Agent Framework, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, or Pydantic AI.
  • Familiarity with MCP, A2A, tool-use, or function-calling in LLM-based systems.
  • Experience with RAG architectures, vector databases, or agent memory systems.
  • Experience with prompt engineering, evaluation frameworks, or tuning LLM systems for reliability.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with an adjudicated polygraph.
  • Ability to collaborate across cross-functional engineering teams and communicate and solve problems effectively.
  • Cloud experience with AWS or Azure, Kubernetes and Helm deployment experience, frontend experience with React or Angular, and familiarity with JavaScript or TypeScript are desired.
