Base Salary
$130k - $170k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and monitor high-performance backend services and APIs for secure, low-latency authentication workflows.
- Build and operate cloud-native services and data pipelines across AWS and GCP using services such as S3, DynamoDB, Kinesis, and IAM.
- Deliver software through implementation, automated testing, deployment, operational support, CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-code practices.
- Contribute to authentication, identity, and fraud-prevention architecture, threat-aware design, and engineering standards.
- Integrate AI/ML capabilities such as model-backed risk scores, deepfake detection signals, and ML-driven policies into scalable production services.
- Use metrics, logging, tracing, dashboards, and diagnostic tooling to improve production reliability and latency.
- Participate in the on-call rotation and provide after-hours support for customer-facing authentication services.
- Create documentation and runbooks, participate in design reviews, and mentor colleagues through code reviews and pairing.
Requirements
- 5–7+ years of professional software development experience building backend services and APIs.
- Strong experience with Go, Python, or similar languages, plus knowledge of data structures, algorithms, concurrency, and Linux-based development.
- Hands-on experience designing and operating cloud-native systems in AWS or GCP, including S3, DynamoDB, Kinesis, and IAM.
- Experience with CI/CD, DevOps, Docker, Kubernetes, production deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, and live-service support.
- Preferred experience with Redis, MySQL, RabbitMQ, Elasticsearch, observability and production diagnostics, authentication, identity, fraud prevention, security-sensitive products, or adjacent UI and customer-facing workflows.
- Strong communication, collaboration, ownership, mentoring, judgment, adaptability, and problem-solving skills.
