Responsibilities
- Design, implement, document, and unit test REST microservices using Java, Spring, and JUnit.
- Develop Angular web applications that communicate with backend microservices.
- Write complex SQL queries and perform data modeling.
- Collaborate within a large Agile software development team.
- Work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, changing environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related engineering field.
- At least one year of Java J2EE/JEE design and software development experience involving large-scale enterprise software systems.
- Knowledge of Spring Boot and Spring REST/SOAP web services.
- Experience with Angular, React, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, XML, JSON, SQL, JPA, Hibernate, and Java web application development.
- Master’s degree in computer science or a related field is preferred.
- Recent relevant course projects, internships, co-ops, or personal backend development work are preferred.
- Experience with Spring WebFlux, R2DBC, microservices architecture, JMS, and/or Kafka is preferred.
- Familiarity with AWS is preferred.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Must be able to obtain and hold a public trust position with favorable suitability based on a CBP Background Investigation.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, initiative, multitasking, and teamwork skills.
