Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end development of Android features from technical design through launch and ongoing improvements.
- Translate product requirements into maintainable Android architecture and intuitive user experiences.
- Build firmware features for Motive’s next-generation hardware in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Collaborate with product, design, backend, QA, and support teams to deliver cohesive customer experiences.
- Investigate complex bugs and performance issues, identify root causes, and drive durable fixes.
- Improve engineering quality through code reviews, automated testing, documentation, and development practices.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, including significant Android application development.
- Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Java, with deep understanding of Android SDKs, lifecycle management, and persistence.
- Experience designing and maintaining modular Android applications using modern architecture patterns such as MVVM.
- Experience with automated testing, debugging, performance optimization, and CI/CD practices.
- Ability to independently drive complex projects, evaluate technical trade-offs, and communicate decisions clearly across teams.
