Responsibilities
- Deliver scalable, high-quality full-stack application solutions for critical business functions and client outcomes.
- Design and develop secure, resilient, maintainable applications using Java and Python.
- Design distributed and microservices-based architectures, APIs, integrations, and event-driven application patterns.
- Develop responsive user interfaces and integrate frontend and backend services.
- Contribute to solution design, architectural decisions, intelligent automation, and AI-enabled innovation.
- Drive code quality through peer reviews, testing, continuous improvement, and engineering standards.
- Troubleshoot complex issues, resolve incidents promptly, and produce technical documentation.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, product teams, architects, and engineers while promoting knowledge sharing and continuous learning.
Requirements
- Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale full-stack software solutions.
- Strong hands-on Java development experience using modern enterprise application design and development practices.
- Strong Python development experience.
- Experience designing and implementing distributed and microservices-based architectures.
- Strong understanding of API design, systems integration, and event-driven application patterns.
- Experience developing responsive user interfaces and integrating frontend and backend services.
- Strong knowledge of relational databases, data modelling, and performance optimisation.
- Understanding of software design principles, data structures, concurrency, and application performance tuning.
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments with cross-functional teams.
- Essential UK Broker Dealer and Capital Markets domain experience.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
- Awareness of AI-assisted development approaches and the ability to leverage emerging AI capabilities.
