Base Salary

$147k - $210k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Own and deliver bootloader and firmware features in C and Rust.
  • Bring up new Pixel devices across pre-silicon emulation, SoC development boards, prototypes, mass production, and in-market stages.
  • Plan, design, and implement software for interconnect, boot, reset, memory, high-speed I/O, low-speed I/O, interrupt controllers, and security.
  • Debug complex interactions between silicon, hardware, firmware, software, and the surrounding environment.
  • Work across C, Rust, and Python codebases.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 2 years of software development experience in C.
  • At least 2 years of experience working with embedded operating systems.
  • Preferred: a master’s degree or PhD in computer science or a related technical field.
  • Preferred: experience with data structures and algorithms; common debug or trace technologies; embedded software, bare-metal microcontroller firmware, RTOS, bootloaders, or the Linux kernel; modern SoC architecture, system bring-up, debug, or trace; and Rust.
