Responsibilities

  • Lead the architecture and delivery of complex business solutions aligned with client objectives and enterprise strategy.
  • Create solution and architecture designs that translate business requirements into scalable and sustainable outcomes.
  • Design API-led, integration-focused, event-driven, and end-to-end solution approaches.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, delivery teams, and external partners to support successful programme delivery.
  • Promote architectural best practices, governance standards, reuse, maintainability, and delivery excellence.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce technical debt and improve future business capabilities.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to multidisciplinary delivery teams.
  • Manage delivery risks, dependencies, and issues while maintaining stakeholder transparency.
  • Champion AI-fluent ways of working and contribute to workforce development across teams and client engagements.

Requirements

  • Strong experience in solution architecture, technical design, and software delivery in complex enterprise environments.
  • Proven ability to lead architecture decisions from concept through implementation and operational adoption.
  • Experience designing API-led, integration-focused, and event-driven solutions.
  • Strong technical leadership, mentoring, influencing, analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
  • Experience managing end-to-end project and delivery lifecycles in client-facing environments.
  • Understanding of modern software engineering principles, architecture patterns, and integration approaches.
  • Insurance-sector experience, particularly in Commercial Insurance or the London Market, is advantageous.
  • Experience with AWS Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, DynamoDB, Node.js, TypeScript, Java, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, Apigee, REST APIs, and Python is beneficial.
  • Experience with AWS, architecture, or cloud-related certifications and enterprise transformation or cloud modernization initiatives is beneficial.
  • Experience with Agile delivery methodologies, including Scrum, and tools such as ServiceNow, Confluence, and Jira is beneficial.
