Responsibilities
- Develop and implement scalable, performant, secure, maintainable, correct, and stable solutions.
- Maintain, improve, and expand web applications, data pipelines, and AI/ML infrastructure.
- Improve infrastructure for model development, training, and deployment, focusing on large language models and generative AI architectures.
- Define multi-year technical vision for text generation, image synthesis, multimodal models, and personalized content creation.
- Architect systems that make complex datasets more accessible and actionable for AI models.
- Design and implement prompt engineering strategies for generative AI models.
- Develop APIs and interfaces that integrate generative AI capabilities into healthcare systems and applications.
- Partner with product, engineering, sales, customer success, and other stakeholders to identify and prioritize applied AI use cases.
- Analyze product usage patterns and trends to support data-driven decisions and forecasts for generative AI applications.
- Maintain the security of protected patient health information and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Partner with engineering managers, product managers, and stakeholders on technical roadmaps using Agile processes.
- Mentor and coach junior engineers and conduct thorough pull request reviews.
Requirements
- BS/BTech or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience building full-stack web applications as part of a cross-functional team.
- 3+ years of experience working with SQL or another database querying language on large multi-table datasets.
- 3+ years of experience serving as a trusted technical decision-maker in a team setting.
- 3+ years of experience coaching other engineers.
- Deep AWS and infrastructure experience, with knowledge of networking and distributed systems.
- Experience with authentication and authorization, including IAM, OAuth, API gateways, and service-to-service authentication.
- Experience working with enterprise security and compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with LLM and agent ecosystems such as Bedrock, LangGraph, LiteLLM, MCP, OpenAI APIs, and Claude Code.
