Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable REST APIs in C# and .NET.
- Participate in backend architecture decisions with emphasis on scalability, resilience, maintainability, and security.
- Develop authentication, SSO, identity federation, authorization, and shared API services using OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect.
- Build reusable backend components and NuGet packages for use across multiple products.
- Contribute to AI platform services, including inference services, intelligent-capability integration, orchestration, and agentic use cases.
- Develop distributed and modular services, integrate them reliably with Forterro products, and optimize performance, data access, and integration flows.
- Ensure software quality through automated testing, code reviews, observability, monitoring, and sound engineering practices.
- Contribute to CI/CD, DevOps practices, technical standards, and backend best practices.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in C# and .NET with confirmed backend web experience, including ASP.NET and APIs.
- Ability to design robust, scalable, and maintainable backend systems.
- Experience creating and integrating secure REST APIs.
- Experience with microservices and modular or distributed-system architectures.
- Good understanding of authentication, authorization, identity management, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SSO, and identity federation.
- Ability to design backend services used across multiple products.
- Knowledge of unit testing, integration testing, and solid software engineering practices.
- Ability to make pragmatic technical tradeoffs, explain technical decisions, work autonomously, and collaborate effectively in a remote environment.
- Experience with GitHub, Jira, and CI/CD tooling.
- Preferred experience includes NuGet packages, advanced GitHub Actions workflows, AWS, PostgreSQL, observability, multi-tenant platforms, Kubernetes, ArgoCD, containers, SaaS, and AI orchestration or agentic architectures.
